From March Till Now
Yes, yes it has been almost two months since I sent an update. And as you can imagine by the lack of communication, I have been incredibly busy. We returned to Prairie on April 9th (a month ago- wow it feels like a lot longer) and began 3 weeks of intense classes. Was it really only a month ago that we came back? Hold on a second while I check my calendar. Oh, I was wrong- April 8th. Yikes.
Well, in that time period I-
(1) completed all my semester classes (and passed them all!)
(2) worked as a 'page' (server) for the grad banquet
(3) finished the Explore newsletter (

(4) spent Easter with my family; including a lovely sunrise service with my mother
(5) watched 95% of my friends graduate (the other 5% didn't not graduate- they are just sticking around for a little longer)
...and the list could go on and on.
One of those graduates happened to be my brother! And so the year came to an end. Goodbyes were made, tears were cried and hats flew as 1st, 2nd and 4th year graduates celebrated the end (or maybe beginning) of their school career. It also means that I will be entering into my Sr. Internship year, which means that I will be the 'head leader' for a team of freshmen coming in. It also means that I have the pleasure and responsibility of co-leading with a young man in his Jr. Internship year and Lord Willing, teaching and coaching him through the process of being an intern, until he becomes an Sr. next year. Please pray with me as I take on this role that I will be given wisdom, insight and patience.
What's Next?
I will be heading down to Camp Bighorn in a month (June 5th) for a week long class, and then start training with the rest of the Camp Bighorn summer staff. Because of how the internship works, I am required to work the summers at Bighorn, which leaves me without much of a chance to make an income. I may be working with the circus (yes, that's right, the circus- best guess as to what I am doing will be published in the next newsletter) for 10 days during my time at home. Because of the requirements of internship, I am not always able to provide the necessary funds for school; but as I (almost a year now!) just returned from missions I don't really feel the freedom to ask for funds- therefore, if you feel God is nudging you to partner with me to help me in this way, let me know, because I would be stoked!
My time at home has allowed me room to relax (still a foreign concept- but at least I'm trying to do it...if "it's" something that can be tried), and it's nice to have family home to enjoy. Sometimes 'enjoy' implies fights, annoyances and pokes- but they are things I have missed being away so much.
My parents are (Lord Willing) going to be leaving this summer to head back overseas, therefore I will be heading up once in July to spend some time with them as they will be leaving before I return back from Bighorn. Please pray that all of this will work out and we have some quality time before they leave for quite a while.
