Check out our registry website to see what a Tiny House is, and how you can help us fulfill our dream!  I said Yes! (Granted, you figured that out...) The last week of classes had just finished, and I was looking forward to an Explore movie night. My friend Abby had invited me, and I extended the invitation to Andrew - he told me he wasn't sure if he would be coming as one of his friends was in town for a short while. We (Lisa, my friend Faith and I) headed out to the movie a little late. I arrived to a dark, quiet auditorium full of people. I was a little surprised that so many people showed up for a video that was hardly advertised. Abby led us to a seat near the front and we sat- the movie began immediately. Instead of Lord of the Rings (which was what I was told was playing), this appeared: Andrew's Movie (start at minute 22)  Followed by my reaction Beth's Answer We are super excited for this next stage. I am currently in Senegal visiting my parents, and will be returning to Canada on June 14th (following a week in London). Bubble Note #75

Over 13,000 km driven in the last 2 months between the both of us. Young, spy, and insane.  Is this email not displaying correctly? View it in your browser. But wow, fall is still an incredible concept for this MK gal.  Half Way Done, Double the Skips Most of you, if asked if you would label me, sweet Bethany Dawn Friesen, as a goody-too-shoes, would most likely say yes. I rebel, but only in the most appropriate of ways. So it may shock some of you to discover that this term (6-week incriment of school), I skipped four classes. Hookey! Me! Granted, I may have done this earlier in my life, but it is quite difficult to play hookey with virtual school (they just don't seem to care if you don't show up by 8am).  Let me now inform you for the reasonings/travels in which my quick jaunts away from school brought me.  End of August: I travelled to Peter Lougheed Park to spend a week vacationing with Andrew's family. It was a wonderful time to meet and connect with them, as well as time to recooperate from the busy summer.  September: I travelled to Prairie to finish my last semester on campus. Was on campus for five days before leaving to Montana to shoot one of my friends weddings. It was a wonderful time of reconnecting and naturally, I loved taking their pictures. During this time Andrew had travelled up to the Yukon with some friends to do a 700 km canoe trip on the Yukon River. Oh the things we do fo fun.  October: Andrew drove back, and several weeks later we turned around and flew to Ontario to pick up his parents vehicle which they are loaning to him. Since it was thanksgiving weekend, I made an quick decision to fly with him and drive back across the nation. So we flew out Sunday and I was back in classes Friday morning at 8am.  What AM I doing right now? I am currently finishing my first term of classes, and within 2 months will be finished my first Bachelor's degree! Andrew will be doing his IFR (Instrument Flight Rules) groundschool until December as well (at Prairie). Chaos. Cougars. Coughs. Camping. Caffffiiinneeee. Is this email not displaying correctly? View it in your browser. Friend on Facebook Smile Photography Forward to a Friend Andrew and I (see bullet #3) Summer Summary As the amount of events that have transpired over the last month is insane, I shall once again bullet point for you. Granted, 95% of the women reading this will want more details on at least one point. If you are one of those, let me know, and in...January (when I am guessing I shall have a free moment), I will write back. Can you tell I'm tired? I booked my ticket to Dakar, Senegal to visit my parents and brother for Christmas! I also booked a ticket to London, England for after Dakar to visit my friends whom I lived with in India. I have been dating a wonderful man by the name of Andrew Galster since the beginning of summer. He has been an incredible blessing and support to me. He is the Leadership Coordinator at the same camp, and has been creating and leading teenagers through multiple week sessions on leadership. You will all ask for a picture if I don't send one, so there is one at the side. My group of 30 diabetic campers was knowingly stalked for 5 hours by a cougar on our second backcountry camping trip. No one was hurt. I almost pooped my pants. We evac'ed another group of diabetic campers because of a huge thunder/hail storm that broke over our camp at 11pm one night. My tomato plants were destroyed in another July hail storm. There is a lot more, but my brain is a touch fried from lack of sleep. What's Next? Three more weeks of camp (each with varying degress of difficulty and programming) I move back to Three Hills around Sept 1st to begin my final semester at Prairie, after which I will have my Bachelors of Arts in Ministry in Outdoor and Wilderness Leadership (or, we just call it the BAM/OL) I will be looking for a job for January, hoping to move to BC and get a job as an EMR. Bubble Note #73

Hikes in the sun, rain, snow. Laughing at silly jokes in the van. Putting my head down for a short nap and then zonking out for an hour. Such is my wonderful life. Friend on Facebook Smile Photography Forward to a Friend Service- Going back to the Basics I’m sitting on a trailer picnic bench at 6:37 in the morning in rural Montana. I woke up to the sun, warm breeze and a drive around the lake. This weekend has been wonderful. I hitched a ride from Alberta last Thursday in order to make it to a wedding on Friday. Hannah and Dennis (Explore Directors) committed to a lifelong-journey on Friday on a sunny field at the base of the Mission Mountains. But enough of this romantic talk. The past two weeks have been jam packed of events I never dreamed could transpire to me. And sometimes there was a reason why I purposely did not dream them. We’ll just say that the term ‘poo-naumie’ was never a part of my regular vocabulary, and has now been added. It is a pleasure and a service to work with physically and cognitively disabled individuals at this Camp. I am learning what it means to serve in the most basic of ways, and recognizing that when Christ washed his disciples feet, it is my equivalent to swiping someones bum. Now imagine a last supper with that twist! What’s Next? We have one more day of adult camp, and then kids camp starts! Our first kid camp week is Ostomy (learn about Ostomy’s here), and I’m really looking forward to hiking, eating s’more’s and laughing with these kids. God has been blessing me greatly in many ways. This summer is going to be full of stories.
